Within three hours of Gauteng, nestled in amongst the Steenkampsberg, is the village of Dullstroom, best known for its pristine rivers and picturesque dams stocked with large brown and rainbow trout. It is little known that Dullstroom is also the home to some of South Africa’s finest artistic talent.

Whether it be the artisans who produce magnificent works in metal, wood, glass and ceramics, or highly talented artists who sketch, paint and sculpt, they all seek inspiration from the surrounding rolling grasslands of Dullstroom.

If art is your passion, take a relaxing break and head out our way to browse our galleries and enjoy our village atmosphere.

There’s more to Dullstroom than meets the fly!

16th to the 18th of December 2011

Dullstroom will come alive as local residents show visitors that there is more to Dullstroom than meets the fly. The Dullstroom Art Festival is a means of introducing visitors to the many varied aspects of creativity within Dullstroom and the surrounding areas. The festival will create a platform to showcase local talent and to create an awareness of the natural heritage of the area.

See Festival page for details.
